Do not forget to e-mail your resume'. Occasionally, students forget or misplace them. We will have a copy just in case this happens. If you don't e-mail them you will not get points off. It is easier to have them ahead of time and saves some time at the competition.
Thanks to all the competitors and their instructors.
Please e-mail if you have questions

NOTICE:  We have now gotten a sponsor for culinary and baking. Students will NOT have to bring their own products. I feel strongly that the equipment and plates will also be provided. We are awaiting a reply for a dealer at this time. So the only thing for students to bring are listed in the standards for the National Competition. Remember that all students must have their resume' e-mailed in to us no later than March 31st. Students my e-mail them to: sccompetition@aol.com. They will be printed off and placed in a folder marked with their school and the competitors name. Students will receive a packet containing all of the information needed on the morning of competition. All students have been able to review this website (hopefully). If your student has not been to this website please give them the site address and have them to e-mail us if they have any questions. Remember, all questions will be posted to this site for others to view. This will help to keep everything on an even playing field. Remember to follow the guidelines for proper dress for your competitors. Points will be taken off for students not following the guidelines. Example: no vest...if student wears a vest then points will be deducted.

Looking forward to seeing everyone at SC SkillsUSA Competition at the Carolina First Center in Greenville. Competition date: April 16, 2010 - Time: 8:00 a.m. Please report to your area at least 5 - 10 minutes prior to starting time.

Greetings,

Hope everyone is getting excited about the up and coming competition. I know things have been somewhat slow getting started, but we have been working on a much needed improvement for our competition. We have not mastered everything yet and we do not expect all the kinks worked out but I assure you that it will be much greater for all of the students involved with competition. Competition is for our students and their gaining their skills and have the opportunity to network and learn from others around the state. Welcome, have fun, and please feel free to e-mail any questions to this e-mail address and you will get a response quickly.  sccompetition@aol.com

We have made some changes this year as we progress towards having our competition in alignment with our national competition in Kansas City. The competition will be held at the Carolina First Center in Greenville. The date for our competition will be Friday, April 16th. All information will be on this website. We hope that you will enjoy the changes and it will keep improving as we grow.

Yours Respectively,

Michael, Chairperson
